As an intern, you will be in touch with several aspects of applied R&D research, which our engineers tend to day in and out. This contains literature study, feasibility and concept design, defining a proof of concept or test case in one of our labs. Depending on your studies you can match with several technological domains.

Depending on your studies, you will join one of our teams. Our expertise is mainly in following domains:

• Innovation in Advanced Manufacturing (robotics, automatisation, industry 4.0, additive manufacturing, precision manufacturing,...)

• Product Innovation (smart connected and embedded products, metals, plastics, composites, surface treatments,…)

• Innovation in Circular Economy (material-saving, energy-efficient, and sustainable product development)

• Digital Innovation (AI, cyber security, software engineering,...)

• Innovation in Energy Transition (renewable energy technologies, of which, wind energy, (green) hydrogen energy and solar energy, and new technologies to improve cost-efficiency, reliability, return on investment, sustainability or performance.

Sirris has several locations, depending on your interest, your internship location will be in Antwerp, Brussels, Charleroi, Genk, Ghent, Kortrijk, Leuven, or Liège.
