To help realise this, we are looking for an adviser on composites and circular economy.
You help companies to explore and realise their circular solutions (polymers, fibres, composites)
- you ensure a correct and swift follow-up of technological customer questions: you acquire a good understanding of their needs, you give advice and you help to work out a project proposal
- You lead or contribute to the implementation of industrial projects.
You have a hands-on mentality: you like realising new materials, products and test set-ups, at companies or in the Sirris lab in Heverlee.
Because Sirris shares machines with universities and various companies, you are often in contact with people, and you search for technical solutions together with others.
You build up knowledge about these topics yourself in (collective) research projects.
You follow the latest technological developments in composites and plastics within the research and business world and raise awareness among companies through various media channels.
You will work as part of a team and contribute to daily operations, quality and research.
You have a Master's degree in Engineering Materials Science.
You have a strong basis in the field of expertise of composite materials and polymers. You are familiar with industrial processes and the equipment.
Experience in setting up projects with companies and knowledge partners is useful. You have the necessary persuasiveness to involve partners in projects.
Language skills: excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, knowledge of French is an asset.
You communicate and present convincingly and write fluently.
You are an initiator, a trigger, with a positive attitude who is open to the opinions of others.
You have a passion for innovation and are results oriented.
Sirris has several sites. This means that you can work flexibly in terms of location. For this position, it’s a necessity to be regularly present at our Heverlee site.
As a Sirris expert you actively participate in top projects at Belgian companies. You build up knowledge and experience in the most advanced technologies. Every day you experience the satisfaction of knowing that you are doing pioneering work. In short, you deliver innovative work in its purest form.
